This is one of Dahl's "flying" stories and deals with three R.A.F. pilots on leave in Cairo, Egypt. It does have a slightly adult theme (Madame Rosette runs a seedy brothel) and younger readers might want to skip this one for now.
The story is about Mrs. Bixby receiving a glamorous mink coat from a man with whom she had an affair (the Colonel). She hopes to sneak the coat into her house without her husband noticing, but she soon realizes that her husband has plans of his own.
The novel stars Uncle Oswald, a character who previously appeared in "The Visitor" and "Bitch", two short stories also written by Roald Dahl (and which can be both found in the book Switch Bitch)
