Morris William. The Pilgrims of Hope
A fantasy world made true.
William Morris is the author of the classic Well at World's End, the epic fantasy is the foundation of modern High Fantasy. William Morris, of course, was famous for more than fantasy. A true Victorian ball of creative energy, he was a master of design and other kinds of literature — including poetry. What is little remembered, save in certain circles, is William Morris's devotion to social ideals and social experimentation. News from Nowhere is his most famous work upon this theme. Here is a lesser-known work, an epic narrative poem about the Paris Commune through the eyes of an Englishman who worked with the Communards. In the works of William Morris, imagination is made real.
