Athough many large organizations have been quick to see the benefits of ISO/IEC 27001:2005 – the information security management system standard – many SMEs have been slow adopters because of a lack of basic advice in its implementation. This will change with development of a new ISO handbook to demystify the process, due for publication in 2009.
