Therefore, our aim with this book is not to ‘fix’ any kind of ‘ultimate truth’ but to guide the reader through at least some of that fog: to do so through elucidating the strategic and tactical decisions made, and though describing the technology used and the resulting air warfare, while ensuring the complex technical concepts are presented in a manner accessible to all readers.
