The book examines in detail the evolution of the development of the Swedish fleet at the initial stage, the creation and formation of its officer corps, and the development of military shipbuilding in Sweden. The author also paid a lot of attention to the description of the naval operations of the Northern War (1563-1570) in the Baltic.
