2. Hans-Heiri Stapfer does a good job chronicling the history and technical development of this aircraft in "Ilyushin Il-4 in Action." Like most Squadron/Signal publications, the book comes with a wealth of photographs, two three view-line drawings, a page of color prints, and sample illustrations. Different models are discussed and illustrations are provided showing differences between versions.
