The publication, also known as "the famous story magazine", is the longest running women's weekly in the world as well as the most-widely fiction-encompassing (aka->having at least seven self-contained short stories and two serials)! In addition, regular life features are geared to older women and include: craft, cookery, puzzles, travel and gardening content, reflecting a diverse interest range of traditional family values and lifestyles. Further, a painting of a picturesque British/ Irish location can be depicted upon the front cover of each issue, and a craft competition entitled "The Love Darg" is held annually since 1885 by the magazine, with charity receiving the readers' toy/ garment donations.
