Stuart F. Fortran Programming
John Wiley & Sons, 1969. - 353 p.
This book is intended as both a textbook and a reference manual for the FORTRAN computer programming language. It has been designed for use with ancomputerer for which FORTRAN is available. This intercomputer applicability is implemented by twenty-five reference tables appearing throughout the text, which index specific FORTRAN statements for 152 computer models, by text explanations of alternative statement forms, and by a summary comparison table in Appendix B.
The student is encouraged to compile and execute on the computer as many of the exercise programs as he can, as an indispensable aid to the learning process. To facilitate debugging and testing of student programs, the correct output for each exercise problem appears in Appendix A. Exercise programs requiring data have all been tested on a standard data set, consisting of twenty punched cards, which is listed at the beginning of Appendix A.
