According to Keidanren, Society 5.0 is a future society where the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), robots, sensors, and other innovative technologies will play a lead role not only to optimize the needs of individuals but also the society as a whole. AI-related technologies may be useful for supporting human interaction with other agents. Optimal results are obtained by various approaches and algorithms, including AI, which exceed far beyond the capabilities of humans, and these results are fed back to the physical space. This process brings new values to business and society in ways not previously possible. The implementation of AI in smart society, in which the analysis of human habits is mandatory, requires automated data scheduling and analysis using smart applications, smart infrastructure, smart systems, and a smart network.

The use of IoT, AI, sensors, GNSS, robotics and blockchain, and geospatial data will transform the society through digital data revolution. The abilities of individual people can be learned by the use of AI. AI, the cloud, Big Data, blockchain, and IoT are the important technologies of Society 5.0. The analysis of Big data through AI increases efficiency, estimates more accurate demand and creates more accurate business plans. The Big Data can be stored in the cloud system and used for analysis. The advantage of using the cloud system is that it can be used by various firms through the Internet and IoT. Interlinking physical systems and cyber systems, the Cyber-Physical Space (CPS) provides linkage between humans and machines and among the machines through IoT sensors, smartphones, and other devices.
