The book provides an opportunity to delve into the theoretical and technical details of electric machines.
"Popular Electricity" began publishing in May of 1908, proposing to explain new technologies in simple, layman's terms. It was renamed "Popular Electricity and the World's Advance" in October, 1913 In January, 1915 it became "Modern Mechanics & Popular Electricity" A predecessor publication, "Electrician & Mechanic", was a science and technology magazine published from 1890 to January 1914 when it merged with Modern Electrics to become Modern Electrics & Mechanics. In July 1914, it joined with Popular Electricity and The World's Advance and the title became Popular Electricity and Modern Mechanics. The new publisher, Modern Publishing, began a series of confusing magazine mergers and title changes. To simplify, we are including all the related titles here.
