Biblical Interpretation 14, 158-174. 2006.The roles of women in the Apocalypse of John have been much debated in recent years. Even the “good” women do not triumph. Contemporary apocalyptic films vary in their presentation and involvement in warding off the End. In most of these films women have secondary roles as love interests, even if they are able to participate in stopping the violence.
