Kappa Publishing Group — 84 p. — ISSN: 1043-7576.Pro Wrestling Illustrated (PWI), established in 1979, is a bi-monthly American professional wrestling magazine sold internationally and has its headquarters situated in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania. This publication, now part of Golden Boy Enterprises, is the longest English wrestling magazine on the market. Originally, the in-ring storylines were treated as authentic, but current editorials focus upon happenings behind-the-scenes. Besides recognizing the specific current and historical "legitimate" titleholders of many wrestling promotions, PWI also lists 15 awards regularly, of which readers can vote upon. Additionally, the following annual award categories were added more recently: "Top 500 Wrestlers" (1991), "Top 50 Female Wrestlers" (1998) and "Top 50 Tag Teams" (2020). Finally, PWI publishes supplementary special issues as well, including its own Wrestling Almanac & Book of Facts (since 1996) and Women of Wrestling.
