Coleridge Samuel Taylor, Emerson Hunt. The Rime of the Ancient Mariner

The poem was written in 1797 - 1799 - the earliest literary adaptation of the legend of the Flying Dutchman. The poem tells the story of supernatural events that happened to a sailor during a long voyage. He tells about this much later to a random interlocutor, whom he distracted from the wedding procession.
In Russian translations it was called `The Old Sailor`, `Song of the Old Sailor`, `The Old Sailor`, `Poem about the Old Sailor` (by N. Gumilyov).
