This book is written mainly for students at the junior and senior high level. While there are several science dictionaries currently in existence, none heretofore have addressed young people specifically and directly. This book is intended to fill that void. Science is important to our prosperity in a fast changing world. A knowledge of our world, and of our universe, helps us to enjoy and appreciate our place in nature. This book contains often- used terms in science and technology. I hope this volume can help reinforce the science knowledge and enthusiasm of young people, who are our future. The terms in this book have been chosen according to their usefulness for students age 12 to 18 years. They need not know the definitions of all these terms, but they might encounter them in their reading and schooling. Only science-related definitions are given.
