Benedikt Taschen, 1993. — 202 p.The text for this is in German, English, and French. It includes beautiful erotic photographs of female nudes. Most photos date from the 1850s or so, and follow the popular tradition of harem/slave-girl themes. Most of these photos are reproduced as full-page plates. Taschen art books are wonderful!Another somewhat disappointing period piece. If you're looking for a history of erotic photography, this is very informative. There was a lot of text, and some interesting photography inside, but I assumed this was a photo book - and it wasn't really. I compare this to a college textbook, in which the bulk is text, and there are photographs on almost every page, but in varying sizes. There are photographs of all types, and with different types of subjects, but nothing that stands out too prominently.
