Dommel Peter et al. Kaureki pa opoksel - Percakapan-percakapan dalam bahasa Kaure - Kaure conversations
University of Cenderawasih and Summer Institute of Linguistics, 1991. — xxii + 132 p.
The Kaure people live in the four villages of Harna, Masta, Wes and Aurina in the interior of Irian Jaya. The population is just over 400. The language is classified as Non-Austronesian. There are two main dialects; the first is spoken in Harna and Masta. The second, which differs only slightly, is spoken in Wes and Aurina. The conversations in this book follow the Harna dialect.
The purpose of this book is threefold. First, it is to help the Kaure people to develop pride in their own language as they see it written side by side with Bahasa Indonesia and English. Secondly, to assist the Kaure in their study of Indonesian. Finally, to help non-Kaure speakers who work in the area to learn the Kaure language.
