Mil-Std-129P Military Marking for Shipment and Storage

Additional markings may be required by the contract or the cognizant activity. The marking of shipments of supplies, equipment, and ammunition will be as specified in this standard. Marking is "the application of numbers, letters, labels, tags, symbols, or colors to provide identification and to expedite handling during shipment and storage."
