Bura is a Chadic language spoken in Borno State, Nigeria. It belongs to the Biu-Mandara-A branch (Newman 1977) and is closely related to Margi (Hoffmann 1963). This is really a wordlist rather than a real dictionary, but as far as I know, it is the largest available lexical document generally available for Bura. There are between 1500 and 1600 headwords. The list does not include pronouns or grammatical formatives, which would have increased the number of headwords.
