David Keith Jones was born in Liverpool, England and was brought up in the English Lake District, where he developed an interest in mountaineering. In 1968, he went to Kenya and started publishing photographs and articles. He taught physics for many years in Kenya. Kenya has nearly 600 miles of coastline, all south of the equator, about 1/3of this as tourist beaches. There are 3 marine NPs with 2,000 species of fish, and also Shimba Hills NR, south of Mombasa. The coast is kept cooler by south west winds (KUSI) from April to November and north east winds (KASKAZI) from December to March. With good hotels, clean beaches and an airport, the coast of Kenya is ideal for tourists. The town of LAMU takes back to 600 years of history, song, dance and festival.
