This book represents a major effort to bring together expertise in sleep surgery to describe the current state of the art. As a surgical atlas, it provides descriptions of a wide variety of specifi c techniques. These address multiple levels of the upper airway as is commonly required in the sleep disordered breathing patient. Distinct from other surgical books, this work presents the widest variety of surgical techniques. This variability is represented in 26 chapters directly addressing surgery of the soft palate, 8 chapters on pediatric sleep apnea, and 6 chapters relating to soft tissue techniques of the tongue. As much as possible it describes state of the technical art.
