The book attempts to summarize played at this time the parties of the Sicilian Wing Gambit.
In the accepted Sicilian Wing Gambit considered only games played by Marshall variant 3.a3 after moves 1.e4 c5 2.b4 cxb4.
Variants appearing after 1.e4 c5 2.b4 cxb4 3.¤f3 d5 4.exd5 Јxd5 5.d4, or after 1.e4 c5 2.b4 cxb4 3.d4 d5 4.exd5 Јxd5 5.¤f3 author seemed less promising due to options 5...¤c6 6.c4 bxc3 7.¤xc3 Јa5 8.d5 e6! with a promising position for Black.
Variant 1.e4 c5 2.b4 cxb4 3.Ґb2 is not enough to fight for the initiative in view of 3...¤f6! and we have to lock the bishop by the move 4.e5.
I hope readers will appreciate this work, despite possible inaccuracies in the analysis, and will include Sicilian Wing Gambit in your opening repertoire.
