The Lushi Chunqiu is a work of unique importance in Chinese thought. The title literally means the "Spring and Autumn of Mr. Lu". "Spring and Autumn" derives from the name of the chronicle of the state of Lu that Confucius was generally thought to have written or compiled to express his judgements of history.
