Emery Glyn. The Students' Forth
Blackwell Scientific Publications, 1985. — 110 p. — ISBN: 0-632-01436-9.
This book is more than an instruction manual on FORTH , for it attempts to provide information not only on how to use the language but
also on the way it can be implemented. Indeed the intelligent reader, by the time that he has read to the end, should be in a position to implement his own version of F O R T H should he wish to do so. The book is aimed at the reader who has already gained some experience in programming (possibly in BASIC), who is accustomed to thinking in algorithmic terms, and who has realised that the programmer has to make an effort to understand the operation that is really performed by a sequence of commands, in contrast to what its designer intended it to perform.
