This is actually volume II of a series on communications networks technology of the mid-1900s. It is a treatment in considerable depth of some types of transmission lines and transmission line models.
Ernst Guillemin was a superlative MIT electrical engineering instructor, and his writings are absolute gems of clear thought and frequently wonderfully useful concepts and approaches. He is mostly known for teaching static passive systems -- as opposed to control theory, rotating machinery or active devices.
For those who have the time and preparation his works are a joy.
