Since the publication of my former treatise, Photography has undergone but little change; experience, however, has improved some of the details, and the result of these modifications may be found useful to amateurs in this delightful art.
There are few inventions which have been carried to sucli perfection in so short a space of time as Photography — its rapid progress, its immense popularity, are generally acknowledged; there is yet, however, much to be done. One important branch still remains imperfect — the fabrication of
paper; and, notwithstanding the efforts of several clever individuals, no better result has as yet been obtained; it is to be hoped that, from the numerous applications of this necessary article in Photography, it will be considered as an especial branch of trade.
