Angel H. Nature Photography: Its Art And Techniques
Fountain Press, 1980. — 268 p.
This book attempts to set out in a single volume, basic photographic techniques for all the major groups of plants and animals. In addition, hints are given on where to find subjects, and on how to catch animals and keep them in captivity.
A practical approach has been adopted throughout. In each chapter basic techniques are explained initially, followed by more complex ones with a brief description of some scientific applications. References to more detailed works will be found at the end of each a ppropriate chapter. Most of the techniques described in this book I have tried and tested myself, with the exception of very high speed flash and photography from pylon hides. While many ideas are my own, many more have been suggested to me by participants on various photographic courses I have tutored.
It is the aim of this book to provide sufficient hints and guide lines to help every reader, no matter how good or indifferent his equipment or natural history knowledge, towards greater success and hence greater satisfaction in all branches ol natural history photography.
