Lausanne: IAWF, 1971. — 121 p.International Amateur Wrestling Federation (FILA) “Sambo wrestling technique. Throws.”Sambo, which means self-defense without weapons, originated as a sport in the Soviet Union in 1938.
Sambo has great appeal to young people because it is a combination of wrestling and self-defence techniques and is an excellent physical conditioner. As sambo techniques can help wrestling and other combat sports it would be to the advantage of students of these related sports to also study sambo.
