65th edition. — Key Book Service, 1974.
Jane's All the World's Aircraft is an aviation annual publication founded by Fred T. Jane in 1909. It is published by Jane's Information Group. This broad reference examines all current civil and military aircraft in development and under production around the world, providing analysis, strategy and procurement data.
What's nice about collecting the JAWAs from the 1970s is that it goes back to a time when aircraft were really aircraft. Fly by wire was a long-way ahead ! I highly recommend these older editions to the Aircraft Historian. The amount of data supplied in respect of aircraft such as the Hawker Siddeley Trident, Boeings 727 and 737 Jurrasics and a mind-bogelling array of military aircraft and light planes is phenominal. Taken together with some great historical black and white photos of aircraft, many of which have long since left the scene, here is a truly awe-inspiring directory ! Highly recommended (The 1950s and 60s issues are even more interesting)And don't forget the late John W R Taylor's forward which is truly a historical mine of information for years gone by in itself!
