Time, Love and Memory tells the story of one of the greatest scientists that ever lived: Seymour Benzer (October 15, 1921 – November 30, 2007). It is widely accepted that Dr Benzer would have won a Nobel Prize, had it not been for his untimely demise, for his experiments that demonstrated that behavior has a genetic basis. The title of the book refers to three areas that Dr Benzer explored in his work circadian rhythms (time), sexual behaviors (love) and memory using the Drosophila fruit fly as a model organism. This book is must read for anyone who wishes to get acquainted with the foundations of modern neurogenetics (the genetics of behavior).
