Walther D.S., Gavin D.M. Applied Kinesiology: Synopsis
N.Y.: Systems DC, 1988. — 639 p.
Applied kinesiology is an augment to standard diagnosis to be used by practitioners licensed to be pri mary health care providers. It is a system of evaluating how the body reacts to various forms of stimuli applied to the nervous system. It has been described by Schmitt as the evaluation of functional neurology, therefore a person must understand how the body normally reacts to stimulation to the nervous system to be able to put into perspective the results of manual muscle testing.
The second edition of Applied Kinesiololgy, Syn opsis contains all of the material of the original text with modifications to bring some of the material up-to-date. In addition there is considerable new material that has developed since the initial volume of this synopsis.
