There are dozens of photos (mostly B&W) of almost every type of Soviet aircraft made since 1945. Single engine prop planes, cargo transports, jets such as the Mig-15, Mig-21, Mig-29, Su-22, Su-25. All are sitting out in the open, rotting away or awaiting scrapping.
A lot of history is covered as well in the text. Not so much about the planes, but the politics behind the Iron Curtain, the fall of the Soviet Empire and what is happening now as of 1994. Some of the history addresses the unification of West and East Germany and how the west gained access to advanced Soviet fighters. There is even a discussion of a captured US F-5 and how it made its way from Vietnam to the USSR.
