This outstanding novel was first published in the United States in 1952, Collier's magazine. It is the seventh novel where the action takes place at Blandings Castle. Whether this is the first book by Wodehouse you read or not, you will agree this is the essence of what a comic novel should be. I recommend it highly for all advanced learners of English, and teachers will find a lot of material for Stylistics classes.
