The English translation reprinted here by Battery Press was issued as U.S. War Department Document No. 259 in 1906, and was revised by American military attaches to reflect changes since the original. The present 1994 reprint in partnership with the Imperial War Museum adds the 1913 regulation The Pattern 1908 Web Infantry Equipment. This book includes illustrated coverage of such minor armies as those of Belgium, Denmark, Spain, Norway, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Switzerland.
